About Stonewall Apiary
Stonewall Apiary is a family-owned apiary based in Hanover, Connecticut. We manage approximately 350 honeybee colonies across eastern Connecticut, with bee yards in more than a dozen towns from Woodstock to Mystic.
Our philosophy is simple: healthy bees are better bees. We focus on colony health first, because we know that strong, well-managed hives are better producers, better pollinators, and better neighbors. That same philosophy informs everything we sell and every class we teach.
Whether you're looking for local honey, beeswax products, or the supplies and guidance to keep your own bees, you'll find it here.

- A welcoming community — no question is too basic, no problem too thorny
Stop by on a Saturday or reach out anytime — we're here to help you succeed with your bees.
Field Days
Our Field Days are hands-on beekeeping sessions held at the apiary on the second Saturday of each month, April through October.
Field Days are open to beekeepers of all experience levels. We open up the hives, talk through what we're seeing, and discuss the seasonal management tasks that matter right now — from spring buildup and swarm prevention to mite management and fall prep.
It's the best way to learn beekeeping the way it's actually done: with your hands in the hive and an experienced beekeeper right beside you.
Check our calendar or contact us for upcoming Field Day dates and details.
